Overview of click fraud detector Click fraud is when a person either physically or through the use of software, clicks on and advertisement or makes a charge through a link designed for legitimate business purposes. Click fraud is a serious problem for many webmasters, and one which can have serious financial consequences for the victims.
  4. Cost and skills required These programs can be purchased from upwards of a few hundred dollars. Many click fraud detection programs are fairly simple to install and use, and most users who have the skills to run an internet advertising campaign, or more advanced skill sets should be able to use these programs.
  5. Suggested approach If you think your website is experiencing click fraud determined by statistical anomalies in your finances or reports then looking into purchasing click fraud tools might be a good way to analyze your campaigns. You should check your advertising campaigns to determine if click fraud is indeed the cause, or if the problem is simply a poorly functioning campaign that is drawing in unqualified visitors.
  6. Checklist before selection The click fraud detector program should display the following information :- Click fraud audit, Date and time of visit, Visitor client IP address, Country, Referring domain, Total time on site, Full referrer information, Landing page with all info, and Specific campaign ID
  7. Tips and tactics With A/B testing, new advertising strategies and page changes can be tested to determine if the cause is actually the website itself or a poorly designed campaign. Keeping log reports, and account statistics on hand can be key to helping get reinstated in case you are banned.
  8. Additional tools to consider Additional tools to consider along with click fraud detector are - Web analytics, PPC advertising, and Robots.
