Revelation 19:19
‘And I saw the beast [that is, the antichrist],
and the kings of the earth, and their armies
gathered together to make war against Him
[that is, Jesus Christ] that sat on the horse,
and against His army.’

3. THE HOLY SPIRIT – RESTRAINER OF EVIL
Revelation 13:2
This beast looked like a leopard, but it
had the feet of a bear and the mouth of
a lion! And the dragon (That is Satan)
gave the beast his own power and
throne and great authority.

Genesis 1:26
“Let Us make man and give him dominion
over the earth.”

Romans 6:16
‘Don’t you realize that you become the slave
of whatever you choose to obey? You can be
a slave to sin, which leads to death, or you
can choose to obey God, which leads to
righteous living.’

1 Peter 1:18
‘For you know that God paid a ransom to
save you from the empty life you inherited
from your ancestors. And the ransom he
paid was not mere gold or silver. It was the
precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless
Lamb of God.’

‘You gave them authority over all things.
Now when it says “all things,” it means
nothing is left out. But we have not yet seen
all things put under their authority.’

‘You are the salt of the earth. But what
good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you
make it salty again? It will be thrown out
and trampled underfoot as worthless.’

‘…You have little strength, yet you obeyed
my word and did not deny me. …“Because
you have obeyed my command to persevere,
I will protect you from the great time of
testing that will come upon the whole world
to test those who belong to this world.

‘Now, dear brothers and sisters,let us clarify
some things about the coming of our Lord
Jesus Christ and how we will be gathered to
meet him. Don’t be so easily shaken or
alarmed by those who say that the day of
the Lord has already begun…

2 Thessalonians 2:1-3
… Don’t believe them, even if they claim to
have had a spiritual vision, a revelation, or a
letter supposedly from us. Don’t be fooled by
what they say. For that day will not come
until there is a great rebellion against God
and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the
one who brings destruction.’

‘For false messiahs and false prophets will
rise up and perform great signs and
wonders so as to deceive, if possible, even
God’s chosen ones.’

2 Thessalonians 2:9
‘This man (The Antichrist) will come to do
the work of Satan with counterfeit power
and signs and miracles.’

Then I saw another beast come up out of
the earth. He had two horns like those of a
lamb, but he spoke with the voice of a
dragon. 12 He exercised all the authority of
the first beast…

… And he required all the earth and its
people to worship the first beast, whose
fatal wound had been healed. 13 He did
astounding miracles, even making fire flash
down to earth from the sky while everyone
was watching.’

‘He will become very strong, but not by his
own power. He will cause a shocking
amount of destruction and succeed in
everything he does. He will destroy powerful
leaders and devastate the holy people…

… He will be a master of deception and will
become arrogant; he will destroy many
without warning. He will even take on the
Prince of princes in battle, but he will be
broken, though not by human power.’

2 Thessalonians 2:4
He will exalt himself and defy everything
that people call god and every object of
worship. He will even sit in the temple of
God, claiming that he himself is God.

Revelation 13:5-6
‘Then the beast was allowed to speak great
blasphemies against God. And he was given
authority to do whatever he wanted for forty-
two months. And he spoke terrible words of
blasphemy against God, slandering his name
and his dwelling—that is, those who dwell in
heaven.’

Matthew 16:18
‘Now I say to you that you are Peter (which
means ‘rock’) and upon this rock I will build
my church, and all the powers of hell will
not conquer it.’

‘He required everyone—small and great, rich
and poor, free and slave—to be given a mark
on the right hand or on the forehead. And no
one could buy or sell anything without that
mark, which was either the name of the
beast or the number representing his name.’

2 Thessalonians 2:7-8
‘For this lawlessness is already at work
secretly, and it will remain secret until the
one who is holding it back steps out of the
way. Then the man of lawlessness will be
revealed, but the Lord Jesus will kill him with
the breath of his mouth and destroy him by
the splendor of his coming.’
