Develop the strategic studies to understand the market trends – Resulting later in the Technology Road
Map plan and Business Strategy Review plan.
Enforced and supported the implementation of the global “electronic drawings”. Reducing the lead time
to answer to the North American customer.
Led the C2C and Program Management system implementation introducing the program control docu-
ments such as DFMEA; timing chart, critical analysis, design verification, test planning and reports.
Introduction of a quotation process improvement in order to reduce the time to market and meet the
market necessities – Resulted in 7 days’ reduction.
Product Engineering, Brazil Jan. 1986 – Dec. 1994
Led the Local Manufacturing Engineering to establish a new technical standard more aligned with the
North American customers, improving the Engineering activities and standardization.
Coordination of the first Weld Standard for Wheels and manufacturing procedures.
Process optimization program. This program results in a tighter specification to acquire raw material. Re-
sulting in a steel optimization program that generate US$1 M savings.
Pioneer to introduce the Structural evaluation for Wheels through the FEA in Brazil + real life correlation.
