Volunteer Team Leader for EU Pavilion EXPO 2015
The badge "Volunteer Team Leader For EU Pavilion Expo 2015Volunteer Team Leader For EU Pavilion Expo 2015" proves the skills to communicate and interact with the public;
knowledge of Expo Milano 2015 and of the previous universal expositions; and management and organizational skills.
From May to October 2015, 840 volunteers, aged between 18 and 30 years, volunteered in Expo Milano, at the UE Pavilion.
Volunteers were able to use their skills and to acquire new ones thanks to a specific training.
The badge "Volunteer Team Leader For EU Pavilion Expo 2015Volunteer Team Leader For EU Pavilion Expo 2015" proves the skills to communicate and interact with the public;
knowledge of Expo Milano 2015 and of the previous universal expositions; and management and organizational skills.
From May to October 2015, 840 volunteers, aged between 18 and 30 years, volunteered in Expo Milano, at the UE Pavilion.
Volunteers were able to use their skills and to acquire new ones thanks to a specific training.

CiesseviCiessevi is a non-profit organization whose members are voluntary associations, and other type of associations, of second level based
in the Metropolitan City of MilanMetropolitan City of Milan.
Since 1998 Ciessevi has managed and governed the Centre for Voluntary Service in the Metropolitan City of Milan (former province of
Milan).
Service centers for volunteering constitute a national network, created by the Framework Law on Volunteering, Law no. 266/91, with
the purpose to promote, support, and qualify volunteering in all its forms, through services and accompanying actions needed to
advance development.
Ciessevi acts in particular for:
voluntary organizations (through consulting services, training, planning, design, and supporting communication of the project);
future volunteers (through training and orientation);
citizens (through initiatives for the promotion of voluntary activity with particular attention to young people).
Its mission is to promote an increasingly widespread culture of solidarity and stimulate, within associations and individuals, forms of
participation and active citizenship.

the implementation of the acquired knowledge, giving effective support to the team and the organization during the event.
The learner also proved ability to perform the following activities:
managing and monitoring volunteers’ shifts in collaboration with the Duty Operations Manager;
managing conflicts;
mediating between the demands and needs of the volunteers on one hand, and the expectations of the Staff on the other hand,
accordingly to what has been established in the Volunteers Regulations;
handling breaks and temporary absences of volunteers;
participating in briefings with staff;
participating in training;
providing motivation support to the team of volunteers.

The learner in possession of this badge has successfully passed: the online training via e-learning platform; a written test at the end of the theoretical training, performed online via an e-learning platform; the induction session held the day before the start of activities at the Pavilion; the implementation of the acquired knowledge, giving effective support to the team and the organization during the event. The learner also proved ability to perform the following activities: managing and monitoring volunteers’ shifts in collaboration with the Duty Operations Manager; managing conflicts; mediating between the demands and needs of the volunteers on one hand, and the expectations of the Staff on the other hand, accordingly to what has been established in the Volunteers Regulations; handling breaks and temporary absences of volunteers; participating in briefings with staff; participating in training; providing motivation support to the team of volunteers.
