•   What are the options?

    •   Import each geocache individually from gc.com




    •   Import a group of caches from gc.com…
•   A custom list of geocaches that can be downloaded
    from the website in one file

•   Lets have a look…..
•   Import .GPX file from PQ page on website

•   Set up geocaching.com access

•   Tick query to import and OK

•   Wait and read the summary
•   Creating a Centre Point

•   Changing Columns
    • Drag & drop
    • Add and Remove
•   We want:
    • Caches we haven’t found yet
    • Within 10kms of the camp
    • That are not Disabled or Archived


• So click on Search > Filter
   • Enter the filters we want to result on
   • Click on Go
   • ….and then Save it for next time with a useful name
•   Open your Saved Filter

•   Click on the Print button
    •   (or File > Print)


•   Select the Condensed HTML view

•   Tick Decrypt Hints

•   Logs to include: Last 5
•   Export a GPX from GSAK

•   Plug in GPSr

•   Copy and paste the file

•   Alternatively use the inbuilt function
Corrected Coordinates

Saved Filters

Colour Coding

Multiple Databases
•   Customising the query

•   Setting it to run regularly
    • Days of the week
    • Recurring or not


•   Restrictions
    • Max of 5 queries per day
    • 5 logs per geocache
•   At the bottom of Your Pocket Queries page

•   Only run once every 3 days

•   Can’t be programmed to run

•   Manually Import into GSAK
•   Use the Help in the program

Go to the Pocket query section of the website www.geocaching.com > You Profile > Pocket Queries > Create a new Query - Change number of caches to 1000 - Leave as Any Type, Any Container, That (and), Difficulty & Terrain, Country, State/Province - From Origin: Set the GC Code as GC35TTR – NZ Mega- Within a Radius of 50 km - Scroll down and make sure it has gpx format, and that it Zips the file ( although not impt any more for gsak) - Scroll up to the top and Give the query a relevant name - Check ‘todays’ (US) day - Remain ‘Uncheck after its run’ - Scroll down and Submit Information

Other Features in GSAKView Saved Filters (and the GSAK built in ones) From the drop down ‘Select a Saved Filter’ Default view to see all caches is called ‘None’ View My Finds (and going back to this after)Corrected Coordinates Puzzle caches – sends what you think is the final location to your GPS, so you don’t have to fix it on the fly. Right click on the cache > Corrected CoordinatesColour Coding Default: White – Unfound by you Yellow – Found by you Green – Belong to you Red – Disabled Red & Crossed out - Archived Can be changed in Tools > GeneralMultiple Databases Can have multiple databases Shouldn’t need more than one if you save filters
