2. Posttraumatic stress disorder
 Posttraumatic stress disorder is problems assossiated
with anxiety that can develop after a/or series of
traumatic events. The ‘event’ can be
physical, emotional or sexual abuse, continuing onto
their adult years, making them unable to cope in
certain situations. Diagnostic symptoms for PSTD
include re-creating the original trauma(s) through
flashbacks, nightmares, increased arousal
(insomnia), and hypervigilance. They can potentially
cause chronic impairment in social, occupational, and
other important areas vital to function.

3. A cause of Posttraumatic
stress we are looking at is…
 Psychological trauma is caused by experience
of a wide range of events, producing negative
feelings of fear, helplessness or horror.
 It is a result of experiencing or witnessing
childhood or adult physical, emotional or
sexual abuse experiencing or witnessing
physical.
 Assault, adult experiences of sexual
assault, drug addiction, illnesses and medical
complications.
 By experiencing bullying or mobbing.
 Being exposed to family violence.
