1. This last recording was done in the canteen to see how different it was compared to the other two
acoustics. Throughout the whole recording there was a humming sound coming from the vending
machines which made my voice sound a bit quieter as it was competing against the sound. There
was a lot of reflection in this area though because of all the metal and all the objects sound the
sound was clear. Because of all the objects in the room the sound was doing lots of things, reflecting
of the metal tables and being absorbed by the wooden chairs which made the sound clear and
louder than the one outside and in the corridor. Because of the people in the room the sound was
stopped and kept more in the same area so that also contributed to making the sound louder as it
was picked up on the microphone more.
The walls stopped the sound
because of the brick so nothing
reflected from here it just stopped
it, which is why it sounded clearer. Because of people in the
room the sound was kept
in this one area making it
louder.
All the metal tables reflected
the sound of the recording .
The wooden chairs absorbed the
sound so evened out the fight
between the metal tables reflected
the sound.
