Embarkation time is not later than 7:00 am at MGRG Jetty. Cast off and sail through upstream.Approx:
14:00, we visiting to the spectacular potteries-making village of Kyauk Myaung, and see the manufacture
stages of the famous 50 Gallons (200 litres) pots (1.5 hours visit). Moor over night at Male.
Day 2
Kyauk Myaung – Tagaung (MILES 75*KM120)
Cast off early morning, We explore by foot the ancient city of Tagaung viewing the fortifications, a famous
nat or spirit shrine and the archaeological area. Moor over night at river village
Day 3
Tagaung – Hti Gyaing – Thapayar Village (MILES 53*KM84)
Cast off early morning, sail upriver to Htigyaing. In the morning, we climb the Pagoda Hill at Htigyaing
with its stunning views of the Irrawaddy. Moor over night at Thapayarvillage
Day 4
Thapayar Village – Katha – Shwegu (MILES 57*KM91)
Early departure, after breakfast we arrive Katha, the setting of the George Orwell’s book “Burmese Days”
and also the place where hundreds of the Irrawaddy Flotilla Company ships were scuttled in 1942 before
the Japanese could seize them. We explore this pleasant colonial town surrounded by hills plenty of
hardwood forests and (if time permit) we will also visit an elephant logging
Moor overnight Kyung Daw ( the other bank of Shwe Gu ).
Day 5
Shwe Gu – Bhamo(MILES 40*KM64 )
Early departure we enter the dramatic 2nd defile with its magnificent cliffs reaching down the narrow
channel. We arrive at Bhamo in the late afternoon. Evening walking tour of the town, an important
trading post located just 50 miles from the Chinese border.

off time is 12:00 noon and arrive to Htigyaing in the late afternoon. In the evening we climb up to Pagoda
for its spectacular river view. BBQ dinner at sandbank on the Irrawaddy River with Bon Fire & Hot air
balloon.
5. Day 3
Htigyaing – Kyauk Myaung (MILES 99 –10HRS)
Early morningcastoff and continue sailingdownstreamthroughandcruisingthe wholeday.Inthe late afternoon
arrive to KyaukMyaung We visiting to the spectacular potteries-making village of Kyauk Myaung,and see
the manufacture stages of the famous 50 Gallons (200 litres) pots. After dinnerThe Classical Ballet,
performance by Mandalay Art & Culture School. All passengers can stay overnight at Nwe-Nyein
Village.
Day 4
Kyauk Myaung – Mingun – Mandalay (MILES 52 –6HRS)
Back to the ship and cast off at 7:00am. Continue downstream to Mingun (Eta 13.00 hrs). Visit the
unfinished pagoda, the largest working bell in the world and the “home for the aged”. Back to the ship
and luggage call, settlement of you drinks bill. Approximately arrive to Mandalay at 16:00 pm and
disembark from the ship.
