1. Ambrose had no idea Julian was
safe, assuming he was trapped
in his room unconscious from
the smoke. So she and Alfred
stayed inside trying to find him
and tackle the flames.
2. The flats were doing far better in
their fire fighting attempts. Simon
had rushed upstairs to help his
elderly neighbours when his
downstairs flat had caught fire, only
to find them rushing in the opposite
direction.
They expertly extinguished the
flames in his home, saving the entire
building.
3. But for others on
Deasil Street, all
attempts to escape
the blaze failed.
Aimee woke too late
to get out, her escape
route blocked by a
wall of fire.
Ambrose had
collapsed from the
smoke looking for
Julian, and though
Alfred tried in vain to
save her, succumbed
himself.
4. Unable to contain the maelstrom of fire in
town, Marley had rushed home to try and
save his wife, whom he knew had taken
sleeping pills.
Seeing he had arrived to late to save her, he
walked into the flames to die alongside her.
His final thoughts were of her, and of his
daughter. He hoped she would forgive him.
5. One by one, unlucky sims from Deasil Street and homes all over Appaloosa lost their
lives to the fire.
Because of the dry grasses of the plain Appaloosa was built on, this fire was worse
than any of the other protests. Even the arsonists, watching on from the hills were
horrified by the extent of the devastation.
6. Those who had escaped to the edges of
the town prepared to return, scared at the
thought of what they might find. Ariette
had never joined her family where they
had agreed to meet, and Annette was
frightened.
The smoke made it as
dark as night
amongst the burnt
out ruins.
Bernice held the
terrified Sonja tight in
their little oasis. The
landscaped park had
been saved by the
amount of water in
it, and the fire hadn’t
got to them
7. One by one, the residents of Deasil Street who had escaped
returned to find their loved ones dead or dying.
8. For days to come all
that could be seen of
Appaloosa for miles
around was a column
of thick black smoke.
9. RIP Ambrose Merrihall
Ambrose was a talented musician whose sunny, even naïve
take in life meant she never got very far in her career.
Orphaned early in life, she relied first on her agent, then friend
Bernice to help her find a place to live and gigs to play.
Mother of Julian via a strained relationship with her boss
Frank, she was just on the cusp of finding love with neighbour
Alfred.
RIP Alfred
Hennrick
Moving to Deasil Street was supposed to make living
alone and friendless even easier for computer genius
Alfred. But the determination of Warren Bailey to
befriend him opened him up to other possibilities…
including falling in love with joyful neighbour Ambrose.
He died trying to save her.
10. RIP Ariette Vickers,
Ariette had struggled with her heritage as sole heir of the Vickers
line her entire life. Her overbearing father kept happiness at bay for
decades, even forcing her to give up her daughter for proprieties
sake.
The building of Deasil Street was the catalyst for her growth into the
woman she’d always wanted to be – happy and free of burden and
duty. Mother of Annette, the two of them had reconciled their past
and Ariette had just started her first romance since giving up
Annette’s father.
RIP Aimee and Marley Williams
Aimee and Marley had moved to Deasil
Street to start again – both wanting to
change careers and rekindle the love in
their marriage. They were finally successful
in all their dreams and happy when they
died. Had a daughter, Malika.
