The new health center has expanded functions, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, writing prescriptions, suturing lacerations, performing annual exams and tests, and dispensing various medications on-site through a pharmacy. It is staffed by a nurse practitioner with similar functions to a doctor. The new health center also provides various immunizations and has medical equipment like exam tables, an EKG machine, defibrillator, suture light, and electronic medical records.
