SUBPART O & SEMS PROGRAMSGIS
At GIS, Safety and Environmental impact are at the
heart of our corporate values. All GIS employees
involved in U.S. Gulf of Mexico operations must be effec-
tively trained to comply with GIS Subpart“O” programs
and stated regulations as defined by 30 CFR Part 250
Subpart“O.”
Additionally, GIS’s Safety and Environmental Manage-
ment System (SEMS) sets out to go above and beyond
requirements of U.S. Codes of Federal Regulations and
those under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Safety and
Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) for Outer Continen-
tal Shelf (OCS) operations.

The primary reason for using contract labor is the cost effectiveness
versus hiring a full-time employee. When you use contract labor, the
following costs are covered by the employer.
FLEXIBILITY & SPEED
It is no secret that finding the perfect employee for your business takes
time. You don’t always have time to evaluate potential candidates when
you are in urgent need of filling a position. Not only must you find an
individual with the necessary skills for the job, they must also fit your
company’s culture. The use of contract labor allows you to continue busi-
ness operations without being tied down in the evaluation process. It
also provides your company the ability to“flex”your workforce as needed
without the pains associated with employee terminations.
