Hello &
Greetings from the Middle East.
We would like to present you with MidEastPan:
MidEastPan is a collaborative project for the purpose of cultural, social and environmental gain;
an open community platform powered by participation;
an invitation for expression, interaction and cross fertilization,
facilitating the next generation in place making
on local, national and Middle Eastern scales.
MidEastPan is an independent Middle Eastern organisation which manages architectural competitions followed by their implementation.The competitions are held simultaneously, are based on common themes and rules, are anonymous and public, and are open to individuals and multi-disciplinary teams.
MidEastPan1 will commence in January 2010.
A series of sites accompanied by programme briefs will be organised in themes and proposed to the competitors.
The Forum of Themes and Sites Towards MidEastPan1
will take place between September 30th and October 2nd 2009, in Aqaba (ASEZ), Jordan.
Meeting for the first time, we, an emerging community, will explore, discuss and determine the themes, rules and possible sites for MidEastPan1.
It's going to be interesting, important, inspiring, exciting. It's going to be fun!
Leading up to The Forum of Themes and Sites a Design Ideas Competition – Towards MidEastPan is currently being held, an open invitation for ideas and project proposals within the Built Environment in the Middle East.
