Difficult to recruit members to join. Requires time and energy to update/monitor. Content is public so it must be appropriate for all consumers (ie. Parents, students, administrators) who might find the group online. Google Groups

8. Twitter, Delicious, and PLNs offer a vast professional development resource. Facebook can be a useful and convenient tool for communicating with students to organize events and provide information en masse. Social Media tools can be used effectively in the classroom and as a personal tool for educators. Tools can be used by teachers and students with varied levels of understanding and comfort with technology. Social Media in Review

9. Moodle and Online Learning Moodle offers an easy to follow format that clearly defines course content and expectations. Self-paced format allows for students to work at a comfortable pace and to accommodate for other obligations. Videos and web readings offer access for varied learning modalities.
