Mr. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Co-Founder of Arnold Classic
Actor, politician, former professional bodybuilder, author and
businessman are just a few of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s titles, but
one thing remains indisputable - Arnold Schwarzenegger is a
sporting legend. Following his extensive bodybuilding career, which
saw him take seven Mr Olympia titles and four Mr Universe titles,
Arnold was inspired to start his own Multi-Sports Festival under the
brand Arnold Classic. Co-founded with Jim Lorimer in 1989, the
festivals have gone onto become the largest global Multi-Sport
Festival the world has ever seen, capturing audiences across
Europe, Australia, Brazil, South Africa and now Asia. Arnold’s sports
crusade and vision for fitness comes to Asian shores for the first
time this year and the inaugural event will continue to inspire as it
returns bigger and better each year.
Mr. Jim Lorimer, CEO of Classic Productions and Co-Founder
of Arnold Classic
In 1989, a handshake with close friend Arnold Schwarzenegger and
no shortage of dedication changed Jim Lorimer’s life forever when
they decided to host the first ever Arnold Classic in Ohio. Jim’s
diverse career has stretched from a position with the FBI and Vice
President of Government Relations at Nationwide to a position on
President Bush’s Council of Physical Fitness and Sports. He
discovered his passion for sporting events in the late 60s while
working with sporting competitions and bodies including Mr Olympia,
Ms International and the Ohio Track Club women’s team. As CEO of
Classic Productions and a lifelong friend to the sporting community,
he was awarded the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Lifetime
Achievement Award in 2002 and the Iron Man magazine Lifetime
Achievement Award in 2005.

Professor Richard Petty, Ph.D., Chairman of Arnold Classic
Asia
Arnold Classic Asia Chairman Richard Petty has called Hong Kong
his home for twenty years and is proud to have brought a locally
engaging multi-sports festival to its doorstep. After visiting the
Arnold Classic in its birthplace Ohio and his personal friend Arnold
Schwarzenegger, he became enamoured with the festival and had
conversations with Arnold to launch an Asian expansion in Hong
Kong. As both a respected businessman and academic, he is
currently the Chairman of the Australian Chamber of Commerce
Hong Kong & Macau as well as Foundation Deputy President and
Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong ASEAN Economic Cooperation
Foundation. His years of expertise and knowledge have also
garnered him board memberships with CPA Australia, International
Federation of Accountants (IFAC, New York) and the IFAC Public
Policy and Regulatory Advisory Group. He has formerly been Global
Chairman of CPA Australia and holds a PhD, with time spent
teaching at various universities in both Hong Kong and Australia
with several books and numerous influential papers under his name.
Mr. Hu Shao Ming Herman, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Arnold
Classic Asia Sports Advisory Board
As Chairman of the Arnold Classic Asia Advisory Board, Herman Hu
has been instrumental in developing a rich Hong Kong significant
Multi-Sport programme. He currently also serves as the Chairman of
Ryoden Development Limited, a property and direct investment
group in Hong Kong and China, as well as the President of Hong
Kong Shanxi Chamber of Commerce. A stalwart figure in Hong
Kong life, Herman was appointed as Justice of the Peace in 2000
and granted membership to the Hong Kong Election Committee in
2001, 2006 and 2011, culminating in a Bronze Bauhinia Star in 2011
for his continued service to the Hong Kong people. He is also a
prominent figure in the education field and currently serves as
Council Chairman to City University, Advisory Professor of Shanghai
Jiao Tong University and a member of the Council on Human
Reproductive Technology. With strong ties to the sports community,
he is heavily involved in advocating sport and fitness in Hong Kong
as Vice President of the Sports Federation and Olympic Committee
of Hong Kong and President of the Hong Kong Veterans’ Tennis
Association.

Dr. Rafael Santonja, President of the IFBB
For Dr. Rafael Santonja, bodybuilding is a way of life. His passion
was ignited as a young bodybuilder in his hometown of Madrid.
Since then, he has been credited with boosting the profile of the
sport on an international level, holding positions such as President
of the European Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation. In 2006, he
was elected as the President of International Federation of Body
Builders (IFBB) where he has brought the sport into the limelight. He
has worked tirelessly to earn bodybuilding Olympic recognition and
has supported more than 90 national body building committees. The
sport now celebrates more than 2500+ competitions each year.
Earlier this year, Dr. Santonja was rewarded with an IFBB lifetime
achievement award by Arnold Schwarzenegger for his dedication
and bodybuilding awareness achievements.
Mr. Vince Ng Ka-him, Ambassador for Arnold Classic Asia
Known to many in Hong Kong as the ‘sports prince’, Vince Ng Ka-
him rose to fame as TVB’s leading sports anchor. He joined TVB in
2003 following his university education in China as a journalist and
quickly became a household name for his effortless charm and
extensive sports knowledge. After an incredible eleven years with
the network, he left to freelance as a sports commentator for various
networks and continues to be a popular key figure in the Hong Kong
sports scene. He is delighted to lend his efforts as an ambassador
for Arnold Classic Asia, helping to promote the pursuit of fitness and
a healthy lifestyle in Hong Kong and beyond.
