Who runs Florence?
Florence was built by Mediaburst in collaboration with
Stoke On Trent CCG.
Mediaburst run four SMS products, have over 20 years of SMS
experience and sent over 101 million text messages in 2015.
Established in 2000, Mediaburst form a vital link between mobile
networks and businesses wanting to communicate via text message.
What is Florence?
Florence, otherwise known as ‘Flo’ brings Telehealth
to any patient with a mobile phone.
Florence is a web application and texting service which enables
patients to text in their vital statistics using their own mobile phone.
The system helps clinicians develop innovative and
practical ways to help patients help themselves.
View Readings on Charts
Clinicians manage patients
from the simple web
interface. Florence presents
all of the readings on
easy-to-read charts.
Get Important Alerts
Clinicians can set Florence
to alert them with an email
or text when patient
readings don't look right
or show worrying trends.
Collect Patient Readings
Florence reminds patients
to take their own readings.
They use their own mobile
phone from the comfort
of their own home.

Improving patients’ lives
Erin was diagnosed with Diabetes four years ago and after using Florence for six
weeks she reduced her long-term blood glucose by a third and her risk of
kidney, cardiovascular and eye problems by 60%.
Chris is a heart failure patient and he says, within using Florence for six weeks it
had become a part of his life. He is now able to manage his own care, resulting in
less face-to-face time with his Clinician, meaning less time off work.

  • 2. Who runs Florence? Florence was built by Mediaburst in collaboration with Stoke On Trent CCG. Mediaburst run four SMS products, have over 20 years of SMS experience and sent over 101 million text messages in 2015. Established in 2000, Mediaburst form a vital link between mobile networks and businesses wanting to communicate via text message.
  • 3. What is Florence? Florence, otherwise known as ‘Flo’ brings Telehealth to any patient with a mobile phone. Florence is a web application and texting service which enables patients to text in their vital statistics using their own mobile phone. The system helps clinicians develop innovative and practical ways to help patients help themselves.
  • 4. View Readings on Charts Clinicians manage patients from the simple web interface. Florence presents all of the readings on easy-to-read charts. Get Important Alerts Clinicians can set Florence to alert them with an email or text when patient readings don't look right or show worrying trends. Collect Patient Readings Florence reminds patients to take their own readings. They use their own mobile phone from the comfort of their own home.
