2. “GRAPHIC RECYCLING“.
EVOINS creates graphic and colorful designs from a mixture
of African tradition and universal symbols which are found
in our urban environment.
A graphical universe is then born out of this design, which
aims at sharing and communicating. It is not just about the
elegance or pure aesthetics that emerges out of it, but the
creation of a new dimension, exchange. This exchange is
made possible by the pattern itself, which reveals a new
world, a new message and a new meaning according to
each person’s intepretation and with every usage.
This opens up more possibilities to create a line of clothing,
a restaurant’s graphic design or the design of decorative
objects, the universe that comes from it is communicative,
playful and elegant, all at a go.

3. Fashion in general has largely contributed to the evolution of how
the african textile is used. More recently, several haute couture
brands have infact well embrassed the wax textiles to cheer up
their collections. However, Evoins notes that the african print design
itself needs to continue evolving and to develop its own trends.
Various african textiles* embelished with symboles and syllabaries
which depict everyday issues and made from locally sourced
materials** have greatly contributed to the innovation process
of Evoins’ patterns. He is also inspired by traditional story telling
which is known to be clever, full of twists and surprises and which
often have hidden messages.
Through his prints design, Evoins desires to participate and
contribute in the development of a contemporary, trendy african
pattern design.

4. Evoins’ main desire is to create and promote contemporary,
decorative and communicative motifs with an intriguing
surprise effect. This has been achieved through a careful
choice of symbols / pictograms which are cleverly woven
together into intricate, playful and colorful motifs.
The motif collections often bare an afro trend look because
of the colorful palettes, style, imagination and invention. Yet
everybody can easily identify themselves with these motifs
which transcend all frontiers through the pictograms which
are worldwide.
Thus the emergence of Evoins’ desire to mix cultures, humanity
and fashion via a unique and communicative concept.

5. EVOINS designs upscale patterns for fashion creatives,
design companies, objects and interior designers, etc. The
surface design precedes the creative’s work thus allowing
the designer brand to develop trendy and contemporary
collections.
The motifs, which are both “chic and casual“, can be used on
all surfaces and can be tailor-made for the designer’s needs.
In this way, EVOINS proposes bespoke prints which go
from the motif design, the choice of colours, the print scaling
right up to the printing. From its creation to its purchase, the
pattern becomes a product, a service and the property of the
client all at once, which makes it exclusive.
