Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. I found the program quite which gave me an advantage as I could really be
similar to Adobe Photoshop, which I was used to using, as it used experimental. I wanted to re-create a cover for
the same types of tools I was used to, which saved time my album artwork in homage to an image I had
found of Andy Warhol which showed five shots
of Warhol layered up with the transparency
lowered. This proved harder than it looked
although I managed to achieve what I wanted
with a silkscreened effect, multiple layers and
lighting flares.
When it came to the final editing of my music
video, my Windows computer that I was editing
on with Premiere Pro had been infected by a virus so all of my draft footage had been erased
with the added bonus of the Adobe program trials expiring. To fix this dilemma, my good friend
Chloe leant me her MacBook Pro so that I could use iMovie to edit my video on. The
transferring of the files was easy and so was the program once I got used to it. Although I don’t
think the video looks as good as it would if I continued with Premiere Pro, I am still happy with
the results as the program still enabled me to edit the colouring and lighting etc.
When creating and promoting my fictional band, I wanted to use the same types of technology
a real band uses to advertise so I settled on a Facebook page, a Twitter account and a Website
which I created on Wix.com. These all helped the fictional band seem a reality aswell as allow
audience feedback with people following and liking the pages. These technologies also enabled
experimenting with new ones. Premiere Pro was extremely well another place for me to post and tweet my final music video and ancillary tasks.
