1. This is England The film was made in the 90’s but was representing the 80’s, The characters are wearing the fashion of that era, so when looking at the poster we recognise that era that film is representing This poster is a Video/DVD poster has it has on line reviews but also a character poster as it features the main characters The Flats in the background shows the audience what kind of living conditions the characters live in The title of the film is the British colours, even though the film is trying to represent English day to day life, I think they have done this because the British colour are more world known. They fade the colours and make its look more scruffy to make the audience feel like England is not as perfect as everyone thinks it is They make the characters stand in front of a metal fence, to connote they are cheap temporary and ugly as this is what corrugated metals fences are. Shane meadow is a well known British film directors so including his name on the poster attracts another audience The characters has been positioned with he main characters in the middle and the less important characters on the onside
