1. Adidas Basketball TV Advert Evaluation
During this entire project personally I have really enjoyed. I enjoyed filming my advert and I
also enjoyed editing my advert. I enjoyed my advert due to the fact that I have a lot of
interest in the sport basketball. This is why I enjoyed it so much. When it came to planning
my advert such as writing the synopsis and drawing and writing my storyboard for my
advert I already had a full grasp of what I wanted to do.
When I wrote my synopsis and finished my storyboard I was really excited to film. Before I
filmed I had to book the equipment that I will require for filming my advert. This took
another week to get done. I had to e-mail Chris Gladwin to book the equipment and I also
had to ask Harry to check when the sports hall will be available. We were all patient to see
what to outcome would be like. Soon, I received the good news of the sports hall being
available on the day that I needed to film so I was very enthusiastic and excited to film my
advert.
During filming my advert it went fantastically well. With my storyboard being done it was
pretty much straight forward. Jonathon Swindles helped me with the camera shots. He
helped me set the camera in focus to get the best looking footage as possible. He also
helped with the recording of the baskets going in and the natural sounds of the ball being
bounced on the floor. I also had help from Chloe and Olivia who were my actors in the
advert. I was scared that it might take more than a day to film but with the help of Jonathon
I managed to zoom across the shots and managed to get the whole of filming done within
that day. So I was very pleased with the results during that day.
After filming I managed to find an hour of spare time to gather a rough edit of my TV advert.
With the help of Jonathon I also managed to zoom across the editing. I edited the video in
Adobe Premier. I learned new editing techniques in adobe premiere with the help of Harry
and Jonathon. Without the help of my teachers I don’t think I would have done as well as I
have done now. During that day I thought it went really well. I managed to get all the filming
and managed to produce a rough edit of my TV advert.
The only thing that I didn’t enjoy about the project is doing all the preparation work before
filming such as booking the equipment and writing the risk assessment etc. Overall though, I
enjoyed the whole of this project.
The second week i managed to produce a final edit of my TV advert which then I uploaded
on YouTube and uploaded it also to blogger. I had some outstanding work left to do in terms
of the TV advert but this didn’t take very long until I got it all completed. During this entire
project I have really enjoyed myself in terms of filming and editing. I learned and gathered
some new skills in terms of Adobe Premier and camera skills. Overall I have really enjoyed
this project and this has prepared me for more future projects like this in the future.
