First define your RTO and RPO
RTO = recovery time objective = duration of time in which a business process
must be restored after a disaster. Less the better.
RPO = recovery point objective = maximum period for which data can me lost
due to major incident. Less the better.
We advise you to define your company critical processes and data and get signed
RTO/RPO times in hours from your decision makers. Adding extra budget for a
disaster recovery won’t be a problem then since company will only benefit from it.
