PDHPE teaches students to develop healthy lifestyles through physical activity, sports, safety education, and nutrition. It encourages students to stay active in school through games and outside of school through sports to build lifelong healthy habits. PDHPE also promotes safety when playing sports, in relationships, and with strangers to create a safe learning environment.
