Dear Participants,
It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the second Employment Fair organized by the
Employability and Career Development Center (ECDC) at Ain Shams University (ASU). The event
is an integral part of the university’s cooperation with the corporate community creating a forum of
interaction and networking between hiring employers and ASU students and alumni. It gives the
opportunity to ASU students and alumni to be exposed to the job market and be acquainted with its
needs. Today’s fair is hosting 23 companies from diversified career fields, offering 123 career
opportunities. I am positive that the event will continue to grow and attract more companies and
students.
ECDC at Ain Shams University was established in 2013 and formally inaugurated in 2015 through
the funding of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and technical expertise of
the Career Center at the American University in Cairo. The ECDC educates, serves and inspires
ASU students throughout their career planning process, and provides students with career planning
tools, employability skills programs and technical tracks to meet employers' hiring needs.

Al-Ahram Beverages Company was established more than 115 years ago. The story began in 1897 when the
Crown Brewery Company (ABC’s oldest forerunner) registered itself in the kingdom of Belgium (home of the
well-known Stella Artois beer) to start operation in Alexandria.
Later in 1946, the company entered into a technical-assistance agreement with the leading Dutch brewer
Heineken. However, in 1963 the company was nationalized and was run by the government for the past 50
years. After more than 22 years, the company finally changed its name into Al Ahram Beverages Company.
In 1997 an Egyptian entrepreneur bought it during the era of privatization. Finally in 2002, the company
commitment to development led to the acquisition of ABC by Heineken group, yet it remained for 3 years
under the management of the previous owner
In January 2006, the company went through a complete change in all its domains and activities.
The company is now under the management of the national and multinational team of Heineken. Our
commitment to growth has a positive impact on all directions and aspects from policy and procedures to

Business Process Specialist
Job Description: Provides functional & basic technical first line support for process & system related issues
across the sales systems landscape (SAP, Fleet Management, GPS), execute on-site & off-site key controls in
order to ensure an entirely cohesive business process & uninterrupted daily operation that is aligned with
the commercial policies & procedures. Requirements: Graduate of Business Administration, Management
Information Systems, or Information Technology is a plus. Min 1-3 years of experience in a relevant field
preferably in a FMCG Organization. Should have Extensive SAPApplications troubleshooting experience.

Job Description: Strives to consistently make all ABC products more available, accessible, affordable, and

in Business. Minimum 6 years of experience in the consumer retail field/FMCG sales.
Senior Brand Manager – Heineken
Job Description: Brand(s) owner, responsible for the planning, developing and directing marketing efforts
for a particular brand in order to enhance equity and value. Requirements: Bachelor degree in Business/
Marketing, or any relevant discipline. MBA is a plus. Min 5 -8 years of experience in brand management.

IFE was established in 1977, and it was registered with EISA as a technical assistance provider in the insurance
sector. The IFE Statute in its present form establishes that the IFE pursues the following objectives:
1. Seeking to advance and modernize the insurance industry and related-professions, and entrenching
proper insurance concepts and practices.
2. Coordinating issues of common interest with a view to regulating competition, avoiding inconsistencies,
and settling disputes among members in a free market environment.
3. Strengthening cooperation and coordination between IFE and EFSA, bearing in mind the best interests
of the insurance market and the national economy.
4. Establishing closer relationships between IFE and other governmental and nongovernmental
institutions and agencies concerned with insurance, inside Egypt and overseas.
IFE may use all the methods and means required for the promotion and development of the insurance market
and for the protection of the interests of its members. To these ends, it may in particular:
1. Propose the technical rules for underwriting, risk assessment, and indemnifications, and submit such
rules to EFSA for endorsement.

IFE 'Organs forms The General Assembly, the board of directors, two executive councils, one for personal
insurance and formation of capital companies and cooperatives, the other for property and liability insurance
companies and cooperatives. Each Executive Council forms a number of technical committees to assist in the
undertaking of its responsibilities. Since its founding in 1977, IFE has throughout the years accomplished
many achievements for the benefit of the Egyptian insurance industry. Some of the most notable of these
achievements are listed below:
1. Participation in the drafting of legislation, decisions, and regulations governing the insurance business in
Egypt, in cooperation and coordination with the regulatory authority. The list begins with Law no.

10/1981 on the Monitoring and Supervision of Insurance in Egypt, and ends with Law no. 118/2008 on
the amendment of some provisions of the Law on the Monitoring and Supervision of Insurance in Egypt.
2. Proposing several draft laws and decisions on the regulation of the affairs of the insurance sector, seeking
modernization and development in line with local and foreign requirements and changes.
3. Defending the interests of the sector facing proposed or enacted legislation which may negatively impact
the industry. Among the most significant accomplishments in this regard is the amendment of taxation
and insurance legislation. For example, IFE negotiated the full exemption of life insurance premiums and
partial exemption of property insurance premiums from applicable fees. Moreover, IFE challenged some
of the provisions of Law no. 135/2010 on Social Security and Pensions, for their multifaceted negative
impact on life insurance.
4. Putting an end to the attrition of insurance companies through huge and successive losses incurred in
the coverage of civil liability arising from motor vehicle accidents. This was achieved through cooperation
with EISA in pushing for the enactment of the Law no. 72/2007 on the Mandatory Insurance of Civil
Liability arising from Rapid Transit Vehicles inside the Arab Republic of Egypt. The Law provided for
controls and other corrective measures, including the establishment of the Mandatory Motor Vehicle
Insurance Fund for the Civil Liability resulting from Rapid Transit Vehicle Accidents inside the Arab
Republic of Egypt (CLF).
5. Development of the mandatory insurance of civil liability of construction engineers and contractors for
damages to third parties, through Law no. 119/2008 on Construction.
6. Introducing several new insurance coverage types, both mandatory and optional, to meet local and
international requirements and changes.
7. Facilitating insurance for philanthropic and social purposes, such as the coverage of rail, underground
and motor vehicle accidents; and the efforts exerted towards promoting micro-insurance.
8. Taking a stand against the practice of medical insurance by unlicensed organizations (HMOs), and
cooperating with competent agencies towards drafting a law to regulate the business of medical
insurance program management companies, so that licensed insurance companies would be able to
proceed with their mission. This was the outcome of IFE’s coordination with the Egyptian Association of
Healthcare Companies (EAHCC) by concluding a cooperation protocol under which several forums for
medical insurance were held, in addition to coordination and integration with the market.
9. Drafting dozens of guideline documents, with a view toexpanding the base for exiting insurance coverage
and responding to emerging risks and needs, in line with international developments.
10. Managing the transition process of the market from a tariff-based market to a market which prices its
insurance products on the basis of technical principles and foundations as well as the capacity of the
provider. This took place through IFE’s technical committees, within a framework of fair competition.
11. Convening many meetings, seminars, conferences, and workshops with a view to promoting insurance
awareness and enhancing demand for insurance, while allowing for opportunities to discuss all relevant
issues of the Egyptian insurance industry, as well as the academic and practical studies addressing such
issues.
12. Successfully remarketing typical insurance products through banks, after several attempts.
13. Seeking to promote the Egyptian insurance market as an attraction of local and foreign investments, by
enhancing relations with regional and international insurance organizations, and inviting them to hold
their meetings and conferences in Egypt. This has largely contributed to the Egyptian market’s return to
its leading position in the Arab world, Africa, and Asia.
14. Actively participating in Arab, African, Afro-Asian, and international conferences organized by the
General Arab Insurance Federation (GAIF), Federation of Afro-Asian Insurers and Rensurers (FAIR), the
African Insurance Organization, and other organizations.

Product Manager / Full time position
Job Description: Responsible for providing the sales team with the necessary technical expertise to enable
them to sell the product. Responsible for reviewing product data to ensure that the field force is kept up to
date on new developments regarding the companies or competitors’ products. Act as point of first reference
for all product related enquiries and work collaboratively with colleagues in Clinical Research and Regulatory
to address any issues that may arise. Design market research projects to assess customer attitudes to the
current product range and new product introductions. Either conduct this research with in-house staff or
manage an outside agency, initial identification of suitable partner, definition of responsibilities,
communication plan, divisions of responsibility, milestones, contract with company, review transcripts and
reports, and recommend action plans from the research. Assist with the development of the annual

ECDC ASU general employment fair winter 2015

  • 1. 1 December 1, 2015 Dear Participants, It gives us great pleasure to welcome you to the second Employment Fair organized by the Employability and Career Development Center (ECDC) at Ain Shams University (ASU). The event is an integral part of the university’s cooperation with the corporate community creating a forum of interaction and networking between hiring employers and ASU students and alumni. ECDC at Ain Shams University was established in 2013 and formally inaugurated in 2015 through the funding of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and technical expertise of the Career Center at the American University in Cairo. Development of the mandatory insurance of civil liability of construction engineers and contractors for damages to third parties, through Law no. 119/2008 on Construction. 6. Introducing several new insurance coverage types, both mandatory and optional, to meet local and international requirements and changes. 7. Facilitating insurance for philanthropic and social purposes, such as the coverage of rail, underground and motor vehicle accidents; and the efforts exerted towards promoting micro-insurance. 8. Taking a stand against the practice of medical insurance by unlicensed organizations (HMOs), and cooperating with competent agencies towards drafting a law to regulate the business of medical insurance program management companies, so that licensed insurance companies would be able to proceed with their mission. This was the outcome of IFE’s coordination with the Egyptian Association of Healthcare Companies (EAHCC) by concluding a cooperation protocol under which several forums for medical insurance were held, in addition to coordination and integration with the market. 9. Drafting dozens of guideline documents, with a view toexpanding the base for exiting insurance coverage and responding to emerging risks and needs, in line with international developments. 10. Requirements: University Graduate with a Pharmaceutical, Medical or Scientific background. Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a product manager (Pharmaceuticals Field). Good communication skills with colleagues and the market. Has a proven successful report. Excellent communication skills, Energetic and able to travel, Self- motivated. Good command of English spoken & written. Excellent computer skills with all MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint...). Creative, good planner.
