Supporting Statement
Currently I am working within Gillingham Football Club Community Trust School as a Key Stage 3
Humanities and Science Teacher as well as Sport Tutor the Pupil Referral Unit (PRU).
I have previously delivered and tutored a Btec Level 3 course for Charlton Athletic Community Trust.
I took part in a great opportunity and experience last summer when as a Team Leader for Charlton
Athletic Community Trust’s (NCS) National Citizenship Project. Empowering and motivating young
adults to deliver a successful community project.
I enjoy working with children and young adults and I have delivered many projects for Medway Youth
Services, Medway Police and Mid-Kent College.
Beginning as a hobby and through a passion for fitness I began as a coach and qualified as a GP
referral and injury management personal trainer. My client base grew in both weight loss and
strength and conditioning for competing boxers and martial artists. This opened an opportunity to
lead youth projects and Kent Educational Boxing workshops throughout Kent.
Previously to my work in Sports, Fitness and Youth work, I gained ten years’ experience as a Branch
Manager in several plumbing and heating merchants. I excelled in business development, marketing
and pro-active customer service and sales. Due to my passion and the job satisfaction within health
and fitness, I built up my work and carer in these areas.
PTTL qualification, full clean DBS and Full clean driving licence.
