1. Java Developer
Company Information:
Our client are building Geo-location software with huge databases; keeping Scalability in mind to run
multiple products on the same servers; in order to run for a number of cities all at once. They have
branched out into major cities across the world, building their technology infrastructure within the
Mobile and Transportation industry; having gained more and more business day by day; and
therefore need the best Software Engineers in London. You will be required to build the scalable,
real-time software which will run 24 hours a day; also ensuring software synchronises across
multiple data centres across each and every country where the software has been launched.
The Role:
The role involves working with our existing server developers and alongside the QA and client teams:
Essential skills: experience in creating (not just maintaining) webapps with Spring, Hibernate
and web services;
Technologies you will be working with: Tomcat behind Apache, Weblogic, MySQL, Spring 2.5,
Hibernate (via Spring extensions), JMX, Windows and Linux, proprietary SOAP APIs including
.Net extensions, REST.
Candidate Experience:
Required experience:
Java EE on Tomcat;
Spring platform – ideally including Spring ORM, remoting and MVC;
Hibernate and MySQL;
Web user interface technologies, from JSP through to JQuery;
SOAP/JSON and RESTful Web Services;
JUnit or equivalent, TDD
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial, but not essential:
Build management through Maven, ANT, Artifactory and Hudson/Jenkins;
SVN or equivalent version control; GRAILS development
Cloud based hosting environments
Selenium or similar web UI test frameworks;
Understanding of security (e.g. PCI-DSS);
Understanding of encryption (e.g. RSA, AES, and when to use one over the other).
Development takes place within an agile team, with plenty of scope to contribute beyond just server
development.
