This is a basic tutorial on how to download an ebook from WVDELI to a NOOK 1st Gen or Simple Touch Device.

1. How to Download an eBook from

2. What You Will Need:
• A registered NOOK 1st Gen or Simple Touch.
• A valid Barnes & Noble account.
• A library card from a participating library.
• An Adobe ID.

3. Download Adobe Digital Editions (ADE).
The web address for ADE is: http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html

4. After ADE has downloaded - open the program.
Click “Help” and then “Authorize Computer.

5. Enter or create an Adobe ID and password -
Then click “Authorize”.

6. Connect your NOOK to your computer via USB port.

7. A NOOK icon will appear on the left-hand side in ADE.
Click the NOOK icon.
Click the settings icon across from "Devices” –
Then click “Authorize Device”.

8. Click “Authorize Device”.

9. In your web browser, go to http://wvdeli.lib.overdrive.com.
Browse for a book or search for a specific title.

10. Click on the title you would like to check out and then click “Borrow”.

11. Select your library and sign in.
* Sign in requirements may vary, contact your library for information.

12. Click “Download” and then select “EPUB eBook”.

13. Once you select “EPUB eBook”,
Click “Confirm & Download”.

14. You will be prompted to open or save the file.
Select open and click “OK”.

15. The book will open in ADE.
Click “Library”.

16. Right-click the borrowed title.
From the pop-up menu, click “Copy to Computer/Device.
Click “NOOK”.

17. The title is now on your NOOK.
