1. Home is where the paradise is. Working hard all day along, you get mentally absorbed

would be a great choice to wear at home, instead of regular night wears. The word
"kimono" means a "thing to wear". Kimono are T-shaped, straight-lined robes worn so
that the hem falls to the ankle, with attached collars and long, wide. These fancy
kimonos are wrapped around the body, always with the left side over the right and tied
at the back by a sash called an obi.
Traditionally kimonos for women are made up of single bolt fabric called a tan.
Entire tan is utilized is making one kimono. There are four main strips of fabric in a
finished kimono—two for covering the body and two for forming the sleeves—with
additional smaller strips for forming the front panels and collar. Since the entire tan is
used in the finished garment without cutting, retailoring can be easily done to fit the
kimono to another person. Silk, silk brocade, silk crepes and satin weaves are used to
make kimono and obi. But in order to satisfy modern needs of less care new fancy
kimonos are fabrics such as rayon, cotton sateen, cotton, polyester and other synthetic
fibres. Such fancy kimonos are less expensive.
