3. Production Make Up
Lighting used in these types of productions
requires special makeup to help balance facial
features or to accentuate them.
Various brands of production makeup are
available, each offering their own
benefits, colors, and textures.

4. Production Concealer
Concealer is used to cover
any
imperfections, blemishes
or darkness that may
appear under the eyes.
Production concealer is
often heavier than
nonproduction concealer to
ensure a flawless
appearance of the skin.

5. Concealer
With use of a concealer brush you will apply a
production concealer that matches the skin
tone of the actor.
Be sure to blend the concealer into the skin to
create a natural look.

6. Production Foundation
Before applying production foundation it is important
to prep the face and neck.
This is done by cleaning the face and applying a light
moisturizer.
When applying production foundation it is important to
pay attention to the lighting.
If indoors, the foundation will need to be
heavier, whereas if shooting outside in natural lighting
a lighter foundation may be best.

7. Production Foundation
Production makeup is typically applied heavier
than day-to-day makeup to help contour the face and
help the natural bone structure to stand out.
There are a few types of production foundation to
choose from. Some people prefer a
powder foundation while others prefer a spray
foundation.
When using a powder foundation, be sure it
doesn't make the actor's skin appear to be dry. If
applying a spray foundation, it is important to shake it
well before spraying and lightly spray around the face.

8. Blend it in
Once you have applied the foundation, blend it
in to the skin with a brush or sponge creating a
natural look.
You may need to get the ears and near the
neck to ensure an even tone.

9. Production Powder
Once you have applied your production
foundation it is time to add a translucent
powder. The powder helps to reduce shine.
Most facial features in need of powder include
the forehead, the bridge of the nose, and the
chin. Be sure to thoroughly cover the brush
with enough powder to create an even tone.
