2. The executive power shall

4 At least 40 years of age
5 Resident of the Philippines for at least 10 years

6. There shall be a Vice-President who
shall have the same qualifications
and term of office and be elected
with, and in the same manner, as
the President. He may be removed
from office in the same manner as
the President.

2 No Vice President shall serve for more than 2 consecutive terms

Military power enables the president to :
 Command all the armed forces of the Philippines
 Suspend the privilege of the writ of habeas corpus

Authority to grant relief from criminal contempt
penalties

The President may contract or guarantee foreign
loans on behalf of the Republic of the Philippines

The President may deal with foreign states

President shall submit to congress a budget of
expenditures and sources of financing

President shall address congress at
the opening of its regular sessions
