10 Reasons Search is Difficult Ensure that high value information is stored in an easily searchable repository. Provide a search capability that functions across repositories and creates a central, unified index.  This approach leverages existing technologies and avoids the cost of moving/ consolidating data.  If content is not stored in an easily searchable location, it can not be leveraged across the enterprise. ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],[object Object],Solution Implication Problem
10 Reasons Search is Difficult Faceted search results. Provide an easy way to refine search results based on categories (ie., navigators). Search results are overwhelming. Difficult to find relevant content. Information overload.  2) Volume of content The sheer volume of content scattered across the enterprise is massive (eg., a MKN search of a broad topic such as diabetes returns > 200,000 hits!)
