Building the Capacities of the MoIC in the Fields of
Planning, Managing, Monitoring and Evaluating ODA to Egypt
I. BCODA SYNOPSIS (p.2)
BCODA will concentrate its Support to
Building Capacities of MoIC in:
 ODA Policy Development
 ODA Strategic Planning
 ODA Information / Data Management
 ODA Monitoring* &
 ODA Evaluation*
Because of its Limited Timeframe and Resources,
MoIC considers BCODA as a Catalyst for Capacity
Building and an Umbrella Project to Streamline
all MoIC’s Capacity Development Efforts
*Note: Monitoring & Evaluation of ODA related policies, plans, programmes and
projects. In particular, for MoIC, monitoring should address monitoring at all stages of
ODA cycle/processes. Similarly, evaluation should cover ex ante evaluation/
appraisal/selection, mid-term evaluation/on-going evaluation, end of programme/project
evaluation, and ex post evaluation/impact evaluation.
