Plans and manages the Business Units Procurement activities in full coordination with the
various B.U. Material and Procurement Managers ensuring the right procurement strategy is
set at the start of the projects and that the required products are supplied with desired
specifications and in the exact time, monitoring the storing conditions, operations and capacity
and managing the shipping operations, so as to ensure that these activities are in line with
policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities :
* Ensures that the applied purchasing procedures are in line with company's policies.
- Monitors and supervises purchasing activities and procedures in the general Business unit
Coordinates with suppliers to ensure an effective relationship between the project and key
suppliers.
* Coordinates with the Procurement & Materials Director to select suppliers, issue purchase
order and obtain required supplies.
* Oversees the timely placement of purchase orders, analyzes purchasing requests,
transactions and offers, determining the method of purchase and directing the processing of
requisitions into purchase orders within the set limits.
* Identifies & establishes key relationships and partnerships with potential vendors and
conducts negotiations in order to obtain the best prices and terms.
* Monitors price trends keeping all concerned departments aware of changes in materials
markets or major suppliers trends.
* Develops plans aimed at developing the processes of procurement and working closely with

Job Title : Site Procurement and Materials Manager - KAFD Projects.
Period : February 2009 to March 2012.
Employer : El-Seif Engg & Contracting Co.
* Reports to the technical director on department activities and resources at site and
coordinate and report to HO SCM for all materials selection, submittals and approvals.
* Primarily responsible to oversee, coordinate , the overall activities of the Material activities on
site with direction and guidance from head office SCM.
* Engaging in technical discussions and ensuring that adequate technical assistance is provided
on site and that all technical problems being efficiently resolved.
* Ensuring that all discrepancies related to the concept design, schematic design and final
design for all materials and specifications incorporation were resolved in a timely and
professional manner.
* Lead technical meetings with Consultants, Subcontractors and clients and developing for
resolving all Material related issues .
* Preparing periodic reports with respect to the department's activities and achievements to
be submitted to the Technical Director.
* Review of contract documents related to tender (i.e. drawings, BOQ, specifications etc.) in
order to develop the concept design BOQ for comparing it at later stage.

* Responsible for ensuring processes are in place to achieve the outputs defined in the
Materials process documents.
* Collates the information received from Tendering regarding all agreed Value Engineering
items for a project.
* Attend all project Management and Consultants meeting, for following up on all materials
related issues and update the HO SCM (MMD) for all information and requirements with
suggestions.
* Receive the final Design drawing, Specification and BOQ from designer through Technical
Director and review them.
* All discrepancies for higher Specs are notified to HO SCM (MMD) and approval shall be
obtained for further action.
* Coordinate with HO SCM (MMD) for finalization PMA; provide all technical information in
arranging the submittals to Consultants.
* Maintain log of submittals and Material Tracking Schedule.
* Monitoring / Control of Material Department activities including but not limited to site
Materials on the project.

Period : November 2002 to February 2009.

* Review requisition from different projects for materials and services; check accuracy in
confirmation to specifications.
* Co-ordinate with site material department and procurement for technical assistance to
process the order and also with other departments as required.
* Transmit purchase requisition to procurement / materials sections, closely follow-up its
processing, and provides technical clarifications as and when required.
* Follow up closely the delivery with Procurement section.
* Co-ordinate with PMV Manager to arrange the provision of transport and manpower
resources.
* Maintain detailed log of purchase requisition activities.
* Provide assistance to project management team on mobilization and demobilization of the

* Performs detailed review of projects documents specification & budget, drawings, bill of
quantities and pre-tender quotation, as delivered by tendering department.
* Examines contract documents to identify material and subcontract requirements for project.
* Searches local and international markets for qualified, experienced and specialized material
suppliers.

* Prepare a list of potential suppliers for the different material items and Subcontractor scope.
* Checks and review the received quotations to make sure that they are fully in accordance
with project specifications, shop drawings, bill of quantities and their delivery schedule fits with
the project of construction schedule.
* Contacts the suppliers to get their clarifications concerning their offers.
* Prepares comparison evaluation sheet to summarize the contents of the received quotation.
* Prepares and issue permanent material approved (PMA) which is to be reviewed and signed
accordingly to company's rules.
* Prepares submittal to the Client to get his approval for material, subcontractor and supplier of
material.
* Provides assistance in the follow up of material delivery to site.
* Perform all duties related to the nature of job assigned to me by material Manager. To solve
problem on site on daily basis regarding material.
* Arrange meetings with Suppliers for the final negotiation of prices and best payment terms.
* Includes also the responsibility of preparing DRAFT PURCHASE REQUISITIONS to send it to site
project management for their action of issuing the purchase requisition.

Description of Work;
Umm Al Qura University Project at Makkah - Package 1B.
a) This project consisted of 3 buildings (namely College of Shariah, College of Engineering &
Spine Arcade), Mosque and grading, road & side walks).
b) Extension of Rabigh Steam Power Plant contract No. 1018 - stage 2 which consisted of 4 x
50MW units Gas Turbines including Auxiliary Building, Power & Telecommunication Tunnel,
Fuel forwarding and unloading bays, Duct banks and roads and side walks.
Job Responsibilities:
* Assigned to execute the structure works on Spine Arcade & 24 Cool Towers, and Tunnel Walls
and Slabs, Grade Slabs,, Steel Arcade, and GRC works, foundation for Gas Turbines auxiliary
buildings, Power and telecommunication Tunnel, Hard scaping and Landscaping.

AL DIWAN COMPLEX "MENA"
This project included the Construction on a Turnkey basis of 68 Buildings (including Main
Palace, Diwan), and all related services such as sewers, Storm Water.
Drainage, water lines, chilled water lines reservoir, Electrical supply, street lighting, telephone,
Roads/Side walks, High Mast Poles, Landscaping, Irrigation system, Precast fence, steel railings,
Car Parking and Fountains etc..
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
* Assigned to execute the structure works on Main Diwan, retaining walls, fountain E/M works
and Marble and Mosaic, High Mast Poles, and Hard-scaping.
* Assigned to supervise the Sub-Contractors works such as Roads/Side Walks, PC Fence, Steel
Railing and gates, Car Parking & Landscaping.
* Responsible to manage a Construction work force of more than 100 skilled and unskilled
labours.
* To monitor and report progress of above works directly to the Site Manager.
* Responsible for coordination and Liaison with the Consultants.

- 1235 Housing Units (Precast and cast In-Situ villas) and all related services e.g. sewer,
storm water drainage and sewage treatment Plant , Water reservoir and Tower Electrical
system.
- CATV system, Roads/side walks, street lighting, landscaping andirrigation system.
- Cost 285 Million US Dollars

a) Monitoring the Construction of National Assembly Building at Islamabad. This Project
consisted of the Cast-Insitu structure and related utilities.
b) Construction of Agricultural Development Bank at Islamabad This multi-storey RCC
structureconsisted of 14 floors for banking purpose.
c) Low Cost Housing Scheme at Faisalabad. This Project consisted of the following:
* 800 Housing units for low paid employees.
* Post Office building.
* Water supply distribution system.
* Sewage and disposal works
* Side Walks.
* Primary, secondary and tertiary road
* Street Lighting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
"* Assigned to supervised the whole structure up to the last stage."
* My duties included preparation of Bar bending schedule, Shop drawings and interim payment
certificate, responsible to check the accuracy of Steel reinforcement and form work, quality of
Concrete and Steel.
* I was responsible to manage a construction work force of more than 150 skilled and unskilled
labourers.
* To monitor and report progress of above works.
* Responsible for coordination and liaison with the Consultant and Client.
