Conclusion.....

50% of the people I asked preferred the 1st movie poster, the poster that I
designed was simple but yet still effective as a horror movie poster, as the
poster was mysterious and didn’t reveal much about the film. The second
poster was similar to the first, as there was a close up of the mask used in the
film. I was surprised that the 3rd film magazine was not popular, as I made it
look like a horror film poster by using Photoshop to add a skull to the face; I
think it was unpopular because of the green colour of the poster.

Designing the movie poster was a struggle as I was unsure about what would
go well, especially as it was a film art magazine. I was surprised that design B
came out on top, as this was my final idea for the magazine. I think that it was
popular as it was different to the mainstream posters on the market, and
people wanted a change from the conventional. Design A was my first draft
that didn’t go well, so I expected it to come last out of all three as there was
a lot inconsistencies throughout the magazine, such as the kickers.
