3. The Curious March Hare**by Lewin Education Centre The March Hare appeared during the Mad Hatter’s tea party, as well as the trial towards the end of the first adventures when the King and Queen of Hearts were trying to find the thief who stole the tarts. There’s a saying that goes, “mad as a March hare”. Have you ever wondered why the March Hare in Wonderland was a mad little thing? Why does it have to be March? Explore the intriguing ideas of the story at this activity-based workshop. Participants will also receive a free course book and get to make a pop-up art. This programme is open to children aged 7–12. 4. Enchanted Journey through the Pages**by Media Development Authority Sign up for a free creative writing workshop during the March school holidays! In this event under Media Fiesta 2011 by Media Development Authority (MDA), stories are brought to life, engaging the young audience and encouraging them to expand their imagination through high technology storytelling. Participants will also be introduced to the interactive world of e-publishing where they will learn and try their hand at e-publishing. 6. Crazy and Fun in Wonderland **by Ministry of Games Kids can get to play games inspired by Alice’s Wonderland! Everyone gets to wear a silly hat and play games at the Tea Party Showdown, or become a funky March Hare Hopper and hop your way to great prizes! Animal Hunt** If you enjoy books on animal life, and the jungle experience, join us in this one-hour programme where fascinating tales of hunting will be shared, and also learn how to make cute animal memo holders! 8. Snake Discovery** Snakes can be creepy, crawly, scaly and some even bite! Learn about these amazing creatures and at the same time have fun creating a craft related to snakes. 9.Fire Safety Special** Learn about the importance of fire safety through storytelling, and participate in an art-and-craft session where you can paint and personalise your very own fire engine model. You can also make different types of fire vehicular models using paper. The painting kits and paper models are sponsored by the Singapore Civil Defence Force. This programme is open to 30 children aged 5–8.
