Shihezi University is located in Shihezi—a city honored
as a Pearl in the Gobi Desert in the northern slope of the
Tianshan Mountains in Xinjiang. Shihezi University was
ranked among the key constructed University under the state
“211 Project” on December 2008. The university has 20
colleges, 2,607 employees and 30,032 students.

permitted by Ministry of Education of China to teach clinical
medicine to international students in English. Shihezi

Shihezi University, School of Medicine has Clinical
Medicine, Stomatology, Anesthesiology, Medical Imaging,
Preventive Medicine majors and Nursing major for under-
graduates. It has a long era of 60 years at its back. In 2011 there
are 2841
undergraduates, 658 graduates from the school.

Shihezi University is authorized by China Scholarship
Council and the Ministry of Education of China to award

1400 yuan per month) under Chinese Government
Scholarship Program.

A 6 floored building has single and double rooms. All
rooms are equipped with attached bathroom, flat color TV,
telephone, internet port and beddings. There are common
laundry rooms for students. Central heating system works in
winter ， 24 hours hot water supply.

very near to the hostel, which can cater for different tastes of
students. The students can also apply for residency in the

22. The first competition of Chinese and Chinese Arts for
international students was hold in autonomous region,2010.
Five international students of our college obtained awards in
calligraphy, Chinese drawing and cutting. It’s promote the
differences in cross-cultures.

23. V Cooperation and Exchange at Home and Abroad
At present, regular cooperation and exchange programs
among this School and the Medical Branch of Alabama
University, the Medical Branch of Beijing University, the
Medical Branch of Huazhong University of Technology and
Sciences, Shanghai Second Medical University, etc. are
working and we hope in the future we will be looking forward
for more.
