Locomotives to Indonesia
• When GE transportation received an
order to deliver in Indonesia 100
locomotives, each measuring 20.8 x
3.2 x 4.3 meter, weighing in at 132
metric ton a piece, they knew they
could rely on Logistics Plus.
• The Logistics Plus Project Experts
managed inventory, pick up, sea
freight, customs, door delivery to
Yogya, final assembly and lowering to
rails for each lot.
• Our team integrated seamlessly with
both GE and Indonesia railway to
ensure there was not a single problem
during any of the several shipments
and deliveries.

Imperial Valley Solar 1
• While most people are awed by the ‘big and ugly’
of project cargo moves, the experts know that
the real challenge always lies in the countless
small details of a project, each as important as
the next.
• With 3,103,700 modules transported on 62,074
pallets for installation over 2,000 acres this is the
largest solar panel plant in the word.
• Logistics Plus Project team of 5 dedicated
experts managed all transport, import customs –
including separating duty-free from regular
modules – inland transport, warehousing and
final on-call distribution over an 11 month time
period.
• With 1,758 container used for sea transport and
2,562 tractor trailers for distribution this large
project completed on-time and on-budget, with
only 1 out of over 3 million modules damaged.

Shipbuilding Blocks
• When a Romanian shipyard is helping out their
Brazilian sister yard, they need to ship 130
shipbuilding blocks over 4 shipments. The project
totals 48.000 cubic meter of cargo.
• Yet the real challenge didn’t end there. The
shipyard in Romania is located on the Danube
and has a draft of 6 meter only. But most of the
pieces are over 10 meter wide, with the biggest
block measuring 14 x 11.9 x 7 meter at 78 metric
ton.
• Logistics Plus Project experts managed to find
the right vessel, with shallow draft and wide
body, negotiated the charter parties, planned the
loading with the yard, checked and improved the
stowage plans, assisted during loading and
discharge in Brazil.

LPG Tanks: Store, Ship, Install
• The Logistics Plus Project Team has been handling LPG
tanks of 33.4 x 14.4 x 14.9 meter weighing at 566
metric ton since 2012.
• But the size and weight are not the only challenge.
When the shipyard in Brazil faced a delay in producing
the hull, while the supplier in China insisted tanks be
exported at once, our Logistics Plus Project experts
found a way to store the tanks on a barge in China
under a ‘bonded logistics zone’ status.
• Then our team also assisted in chartering geared
vessels, designing the brackets to secure the tanks,
checking the lifting, loading and stowage plans.
• Finally our experts were also key in planning and
executing the installation direct from vessel into the
foundation in the hull with a clearance of only 1
centimeter on each side.

Tug Boats, Gas Tanks, Wind Mills
• The Logistics Plus Project Team successfully shipped
2 tugboats, each measuring 8 x 4.3 x 6.2 meter
weighing 80 metric ton from Turkey to Kuwait.
• The Logistics Plus Project Team also handled
numerous shipments of gas tanks from Turkey
worldwide. On one occasion a new stretch of road
had to be built to allow the passage of the tanks.
• The logistics Plus Project Team also has a specialty
expertise in providing door-to-door solutions for
small windfarms, collecting generators and blades in
China, towers in Germany and hubs, nacelles and
rotors in Netherlands for delivery to Delta junction in
Alaska, wind farms in Finland and many other
locations.
• These are but a minimal sample of all projects
handled by our team.
