Safety and Quality
Covering safety management systems, inspections, vetting, events and risk management (HSEQ),
Sertica has functionality for any task related to maintaining and improving safety and quality.
Expanding on the unique features of the built-in document management in Sertica, an entire
Safety Management System can be implemented. Occurred events, near-misses and incidents
can be accurately documented and moved through a well-defined flow between vessel and
office. An occurred event can even result in a linked activity and a maintenance job, ensuring
complete traceability and reporting. Whether you report to management, class societies or oil
majors, Sertica is the key!
Dry-dock
Planning and executing a dry-dock is a complex and time consuming task – but not with Sertica.
Sertica Dry-dock will help throughout the process from selecting jobs, defining and documen-
ting work procedures, to obtaining and selecting quotes from relevant dry-docks. Distributing
the entire work list with complete component and work order descriptions is easy. Sertica in-
tegrates to standard office programs and exports to PDF. When the project is initiated, Sertica
Dry-dock will help follow up on time, costs and quality. All work related to dry-dock is kept as
historical data on vessel equipment. Standard dock work lists can be reused minimizing redun-
dant work flows.
Logistics
Logistics is integrated in Sertica and provides full visibility all the way through the value chain,
from initial reception at central or transit warehouse, through transport, agent handling and fi-
nal delivery on board. Sertica ensures that crew, superintendents, purchasers and freight forwar-
ders have access to the right information at the right time. Sertica generates shipment manifests
and pro forma invoices for customs and detailed freight reports for forwarders and agents. The
entire request-to-delivery process is covered with Sertica.
Maintenance
Maintenance is a key discipline in Sertica. Managing maintenance is efficient for both
the crew and technical superintendents. Sertica Maintenance is a planned mainte-
nance system designed to plan, manage, monitor and document maintenance ac-
tivities. The focus is on user-friendliness and quick overviews of vital information as
well as easy-to-use guides for daily maintenance tasks. The crew will find that Sertica
makes their day more efficient.
Fleet Management
Managing an entire fleet is easy with the Fleet Management module in Sertica. Su-
perintendents can view information across the entire fleet or explore specific areas
of individual vessels. Utilizing Sertica’s unique data management solution, Fleet Ma-
nagement will always reflect the vessel’s data precisely. The office can add, delete and
modify data on board the vessel. Populating a new vessel with data is efficient using
a combination of packaged ready-made data and experience from similar vessels, as
well as shared master data across the fleet.
Procurement
Sertica Procurement is a centralized purchasing solution specifically developed for the
maritime business. The starting point is on board the vessels, from where requisitions
will flow seamlessly into the technical department for technical approval. It is also
possible for the purchasing department to do consolidated procurement on behalf of
the vessel or fleet. The purchasing department will have a paperless workflow, ma-
naging the entire procure-to-pay workflow. Contracted items as well as individually
quoted items are managed in the same solution. Sertica Procurement can even be
closely connected to preferred suppliers using Sertica Connect, an integrated price/
quote web portal.

Because Sertica is a modern system, it is built with support for Business Intelligence, Supplier Connectivity via the Internet and even Mobile Con-
nectivity. All of these solutions are carefully tailored to match Sertica’s advanced functionality and provide even more value in the utilization of
Sertica as an all-in-one tool for all departments.
Supplier Connectivity
As a natural part of supporting a complete paperless purchasing process
from vessel to office to supplier, Sertica has a web-based pricing portal,
Sertica Connect. Sertica Connect connects buyer and supplier in a one-
to-one private communication regarding pricing and delivery details. The
supplier benefits from receiving Request for Quotes electronically, being
notified per email and quoting on-line. Purchasers benefit from receiving
prices electronically into Sertica, where the prices can be used for compa-
rison between different suppliers as well as known prices from e.g. frame
agreements. The received quotes can be turned directly into a Purchase
Order at the click of a button, entirely without the need to re-enter any
data. Sertica Connect will speed up the process, reduce the workload and
minimize data errors. The supplier will receive a Purchase Order based di-
rectly on their own quote, which in turn dramatically improves the ratio of
invoices matching the Purchase Order. Suppliers even have the possibility
of downloading the Purchase Order in Microsoft Excel® spreadsheet for
easier processing in their own backend system. This also eliminates the
need to re-enter line items for the supplier.
Business Intelligence
Business Intelligence is a unique tool developed specifically for Sertica.
With it, you can extract any relevant combination of data from Sertica.
All data in Sertica is grouped logically, and all fields are translated into
“real life” terms, that are directly usable throughout your organization.
Business Intelligence contains an extensive range of report layouts, all
ready to deliver consistent data. Data in reports can be filtered, sorted,
grouped, summed and compared. Creating a report such as “Top 10
most expensive maintenance jobs” across the entire fleet can be created
with a few clicks. A defined report can even be saved, enabling it to be
re-opened with a single click. If you wish to subscribe to a report and
receive it every Monday morning in your mail, Business Intelligence will
help you. Sertica Business Intelligence exports data directly or into Micro-
soft Excel® where it is possible to graph and pivot in the ready-made and
included templates. Creating an ad hoc report from scratch to graphed
presentation is a breeze.

7. Mobile Connectivity
Mobile Connectivity for Sertica is built with the latest technology. Utili-
zing Apple iPad, iPod, or iPhone, there is now functionality for Sertica
available in the App Store.
By using an iPad with the inspection module in Sertica, technical superin-
tendents will experience true mobility. The superintendent can prepare a
complete vessel inspection in Sertica and synchronize all inspection points
on the iPad including historical data from the previous inspection. The
inspection can be carried out, and all observations can be registered on
the iPad complete with text and documented with images. Using an iPad
with Sertica ensures unsurpassed efficiency and accuracy when carrying
out inspections.
Using the smaller and more portable iPod, Sertica offers functionality for
stock movements and even an intuitive system for fault reporting inte-
grated into Helpdesk and Job functionality inside Sertica. Functionality
is complete with options to print QR bar codes for spare parts, items,
components and much more. The future is mobile – so is Sertica.

Sertica is now in its fifth technical generation, and for every generation of the system, the system has evolved towards increased speed, stability,
usability and efficiency. Sertica is built with and for the latest in Microsoft technology, ensuring that customers get future-proof value for money.
Today there are more than 100 customers running more than 2000 instances of Sertica every day. Sertica Maritime Platform is the most stable

Data Communication
The main driver in Sertica is the data communication engine. Logi-
matic has invested thousands of development hours in building the
most stable data transportation mechanism available on the mari-
time market today. In Sertica all data will travel between the vessel
and the office in the form of transactions. Transactions in Sertica
have many benefits: The users will experience a system of accurate
and timely data alignment between vessel and office and vice versa.
Sertica will automatically retry transmission when connection is lost,
recover missing transactions using its unique handshake functiona-
lity and handle any combination of slow and fast data connections.
Sertica can even handle data amount limitations and communicate
via e-mail, over the Internet or through manually transferred files.
All of the situations and combinations are supported.
Documents and Certificates
Sertica includes complete document management functionality.
Documents can be registered and stored in Sertica, where versions
and revisions can be easily managed. Documents are stored as part
of Sertica’s database, ensuring that documents are always instantly
available to relevant crew members on the vessels and in the office.
Documents can be attached to all relevant data in Sertica, being phy-
sical equipment, components, spare parts but also to exchanged in-
formation like request for quotes, purchase orders and much more.
A complete document library can be implemented and vessel type
variations easily handled. This is the easiest way to a well-organized
and updated document library, being an entire Safety Management
System or repair guide library. With Sertica’s Document Manage-
ment you will experience the power of a truly integrated system.
Inventory

11. Parts and inventory
Spare parts, stores, and other inventory are integral in
Sertica. All items stored, used and consumed can be regi-
stered in Sertica. With Sertica you can easily store supplier
prices, documents, guides, drawings and other technical
information. Parts can be attached to components for easy
reference, and items can be tied to jobs for convenience,
statistics and cost control. Our customers even benefit from
integrated warehousing and stock control functionality, gi-
ving easy access to lists of stock below minimum, critical
items and access to requisitions in a few clicks. Sertica can
print QR barcodes for inventory and you can take stock with
the App for iPod and iPhone. Parts and inventory is built in,
not bolted on.
Financial accounts
When a job is carried out, a requisition ordered, or the
stock adjusted, the financial transactions are stored in Ser-
tica. Sertica will capture the on-going costs for running a
remote office, a single vessel or the entire fleet. With the
built-in support for accounts and budgets, you can meet
requirements for financial follow-up. Sertica keeps relevant
data for OPEX and commitments and interface to the finan-
cial system if required.

An integral part of the Sertica solution is an agreement about service
and support. The team behind Sertica offers both services in terms of
implementation, consulting, training courses, customer adaptations
and daily customer as well as end-user support.
Logimatic is dedicated to maximizing our customers’ return on invest-
ment with Sertica. We do this in many ways, but two key elements
are firstly to assist in implementation to achieve a short and effective
process, and secondly to support the solution in the long perspective.
Many of our customers have used Sertica for over 10 years. We have
a very low churn rate because we are committed to long-term co-
operation.
Sertica is updated regularly with new functionality that all customers
on a service contract can access. Updates include enhancements as
well as new functionality. Additional modules are also developed to
