STUDENT COMMENTS:
“Linda is a patient teacher. She helped me research properly
and understood I didn’t mean to be stealing.” ~ Dave S.
“Linda gave me great information. I use her sample references
page all the time. I’ve shared it with other students and even
with professors at my new school.” ~ Shari V.
Do you think of a research paper or writing assignment
as gathering information from various
sources, especially from the internet?

Did you know that this method often leads to stealing
other people’s phrases, sentences, and ideas?
(This kind of stealing is called plagiarism.)

Did you know that many students misunderstand how to
blend research into a paper?

Through this course you’ll learn:
 • How to avoid just assembling other people’s words
 • How to write more of your own words
 • How to use a little bit of other people’s words
 • How to properly credit other people’s words
COURSE COMPONENTS:
