journey to Rusutsu Resort. Check in, orientation & gear rental.

14. • Critical areas to keep warm: Head, neck and hands.
• Sunblock and sunglasses with good UV protection to
protect the skin and eyes.
• Be prepared for swift weather changes
• Dress in layers: Add and remove layers in response
to temperature changes.
• Do NOT overdress: Increased perspiration leads to
discomfort and even hypothermia.

15. Layering!
• Wear wicking long underwear: Keeps you dry and
warm by pulling sweat away from your skin and onto
the next clothing layer to evaporate without losing
warmth.
• Insulation layer: Wool is natural, durable and keeps
warm even when wet. Fleece is lighter, dries faster,
insulates while wet.
• Outershell: Water-proof and breathable outer layers
help to sustain protection from wind and precipitation.
