Of the three levels of education it was seen that majority of the respondents atained a secondary education, followed by an primary education and the minority atained a tertiary education.
Figure two is a histogram illustrating how many subjects were gained by youths in Lauders. From the histogram it is seen that a great number of youths are not well educated. Fortypercent(40%) of them has gained under five subjects, not including Mathematics and English. Thirty five percent (35%)of them did not get any subjects. persons with five subjects including mathematics and english was at fifteen percent and lastly the smallest amount ten percent for those who had five subjects including Mathematics only.
Figure three is a pie chart illustrating how the basic needs of youths are met due to their unemployment. It was noticed that a great majority of persons meet their basic needs via family and loved ones, eighty five percent of them to be precise. Ten percent of youths continue to exist by means of their friends and a reduced amount of five percent survive by doing illegal activities.
Task seven
Analysis of data
The age group of persons in lauders varies. The first question asked for the age group of the respondents. It was noticed that forty percent, bulk of the participants were within the age range of fifteen (through/to) twenty years of age. Twenty five percent of respondents is within the age range of twenty one (through/to) twenty five years of age. Twenty percent of the participants are within the age group of twenty six through thirty and the minority within the ages of thirty one through thirty five. From this it can be said that most of the respondents chosen by using the random sampling method where youths within the age gropus of fifteen through twenty years of age.
Question one on my questionnaire asked the respondent what level of education they have obtained. A vast number of the participants attained a secondary education ( 45%), followed by an primary education (35%) and the minority attaining a tertiary education (20%). From the information mentioned above it can be said that majority of the youths in lauders are not well educated
.
Question two asked the respondent how many subjects they have obtained. A great majority of the participants did not obtain a subject (35%). Thirty pecent (30%) gained under five subjects without Mathematics and english. Fifteen percent (15%) gained five subjects including mathematics and english. Ten percent (10%) gained five subjects including english alone while only five percent (5%) subjects including mathematics alone. From this it can be said that most youths are unemployed mainly because they do not have the educational qualifications or in other words they lack the compulsory subjects.
