5. Simple Present Tense
Subject + Infinitive ( Verb 1 ) + Object
Simple present tense biasa digunakan untuk
menyatakan :
1. Kebiasaan sehari – hari. Misalnya dalam
kalimat :
• I sleep at 9 pm
• I have a banana
6. Simple Present Tense
Subject + Infinitive ( Verb 1 ) + Object
2. Pekerjaan yang sering dilakukan. Contoh :
• I usually breakfast in the morning
• My brother always visit swimming pool
in the Saturday
7. Simple Present Tense
Subject + Infinitive ( Verb 1 ) + Object
3. Suatu pernyataan. Misalnya :
• She is a clever student
• I love my mother
• Jono like juice
8. Present Continuous Tense
Present contiuous tense merupakan suatu
bentuk kalimat yang menyatakan suatu
kejadian atau suatu hal yang sedang
terjadi pada saat ini / sekarang dengan
menggunakan keterangan waktu now, at
present, at this moment, dll.
Subject + Be (is/am/are) + (verb1 + ing ) + 0bject
9. Present Continuous Tense
Selain itu penggunaan akhiran – ing juga
menjadikan salah satu ciri khas dari
bentuk kalimat simple continuous tense.
Subject + Be (is/am/are) + (verb1 + ing ) + 0bject
10. Present Continuous Tense
Dan berikut aturan penggunaan –ing
dalam present continuous tense.
1. Untuk kata kerja pada umumnya :
• Watch : Watching
• Go : Going
• Read : Reading
• Play : Playing
11. Present Continuous Tense
2. Untuk kata kerja yang memiliki akhir
huruf -e, maka huruf -e yang ada harus
dihilangkan atau diganti dengan
akhiran ing. Example :
• Love : loving
• Take : taking
• Rise : rising
12. Present Perfect Tense
Digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa
yang sudah terjadi di masa lampau dan
masih berlangsung pada saat sekarang.
Subject + Have/has + Verb3
13. Present Perfect Tense
Example :
I have done my home work
I have studied English for three years
He has been in Bandung since last month
Subject + Have/has + Verb3
14. Present Perfect Continuous
Subject + Have/has + Been + (Verb1 + ing)
Digunakan untuk menyatakan peristiwa
yang sedang terjadi dimasa lampau dan
masih berlangsung pada saat sekarang.
15. Present Perfect Continuous
Subject + Have/has + Been + (Verb1 + ing)
Example :
I have been walking since one hour before
Billy has been working for 2 hours
I have been living airport since this morning
16. Simple Past Tense
Subject + Verb2
Merupakan bentuk kalimat yang
menjelaskan tentang kejadian yang
terjadi pada masa lalu.

Subject + Be (was/were) + Verb ing
Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu
kegiatan yang sedang berlangsung pada
masa yang lalu
19. Past Continuous Tense
Subject + Be (was/were) + Verb ing
Example :
- I was watching tv at 9 pm last night.
- My sister was studying English while
my father was reading a magazine.
- When someone knocked at the door i
was watching tv.
20. Past Perfect Continuous Tense
Subject + had + been + (verb1 + ing)
Digunakan untuk menceritakan dua
kejadian yang terjadi di waktu lampau,
yaitu satu kejadian terjadi di saat
kejadian lainnya telah berakhir, maka
bentuk kalimatnya akan menyatakan
berapa lama kejadian tersebut terjadi
sebelum kejadian lainnya.
21. Past Perfect Continuous Tense
Subject + had + been + (verb1 + ing)
Example :
- I had been walking for some hours
when finally I met him
- They had been playing football since
this morning
22. Past Perfect Tense
Subject + had + Verb3
Example :
- Anton had just going when I already
came here
- My brother had fall after Roni got
there
23. Simple Future Tense
Subject + shall/will + Verb1
Digunakan untuk membicarakan suatu
kejadian yang akan terjadi di kemudian
hari.
24. Future Continuous Tense
Subject + shall/will + (Verb1 + ing)
Digunakan untuk menyatakan suatu
rencana yang sudah pasti akan
dikerjakan dimasa yang akan datang
25. Future Continuous Tense
Subject + shall/will + (Verb1 + ing)
Example :
If we will going to cinema, don’t late.
Because I will be going with my family
at 7 p.m.
26. Future Perfect Tense
Subject + shall/will + Have + Verb3
Suatu bentuk kalimat yang menyatakan
suatu rencana yang sudah pasti akan di
kerjakan masa yang akan datang.
27. Future Perfect Tense
Subject + shall/will + Have + Verb3
Example :
-Tomorrow Joni will have came to
Medan
- at Juny we will have finished to make
this park
28. Future Perfect Continuous Tense
Subject + shall/will + Be + (Verb1+ing)
Digunakan untuk bentuk kalimat yang
membahas tentang berapa lama suatu
kejadian berlangsung sampai dengan
waktu yang telah ditentukan di masa
datang.
29. Future Perfect Continuous Tense
Subject + shall/will + Be + (Verb1+ing)
Example :
- Joko will be living in here for three
month at next month.
- Wilna will be borrow my book
tomorrow until next week.
