Edinburgh Global Partnerships (EGP) is a student-run charity based at the University of Edinburgh that has been operating for 17 years, funding and sending volunteers to development projects across less developed countries. In 2009, EGP coordinated a project in Bamendjing, Cameroon to construct a Trade and Development Centre with the local community to support small agricultural suppliers. The project budget was over £8300, which was raised through student fundraising events but fell short due to currency fluctuations. Additional donations were requested to help complete the project and support future community initiatives.
