This document provides information about the System Design for Sustainability (SDS) course taught by Carlo Vezzoli at Politecnico di Milano. It outlines the course structure, learning subjects, design exercise, and evaluation methods. The course teaches theories and practices of Product-Service System design for sustainability. It consists of lectures on sustainable development frameworks and tools, as well as a design exercise where students propose a locally-based sustainable energy system for households in African countries. The goal is to promote sustainable energy access through distributed renewable solutions.
