Technology Manufacturing Group
November 1988 – August 1998
Managed central group responsible for design, development and deployment of
Windows NT and Distributed Systems Management tools for Intel’s worldwide
manufacturing facilities. Directly managed eight individuals and indirectly managed
more than 50. Introduced new operational paradigms and implemented new methods to
increase customer product acceptance. Developed and deployed more than $7 million
dollars of capital purchases. Administered systems ranging from mission critical NT
clusters to client systems used for either equipment control or for factory floor interfaces
to manufacturing and decision support systems. Heavily interacted with suppliers who
are leveraged to provide complete system solutions. In this position, was personally
accountable for NT architecture direction, as well as tactical and strategic roadmaps
and their implementations. Chaired a companywide group that defined and
recommended all strategic UNIX, VMS, NT, DSM and network infrastructure roadmaps
and system specifications. Recognized as the expert at Intel for NT manufacturing
systems definition.

The range of responsibilities included project management, infrastructure design and
specification, systems engineering, software development, software support and
