2. Research class?
Writing is…
“Writing is like riding a
rollercoaster. There are going to
be many ups and downs, and
there are going to be times
where the entire writing process
is going to really make me want
to throw up”
So, research is…..? Be creative!
3. Reminders
 Your daily journal is due at the same time as your final
portfolio. You should have at least 10 entries.
 Final portfolio is due during our final exam time. If you
don’t want to come to the final, you must submit your
portfolio on our final class day, which is April 23rd.
6. OPTIONAL Presentations
 Last opportunity for extra credit
 In groups of no more than 4, think of a creative way to present
what you have learned about research in this class. You may

the research process. Think of it like you are reflecting on what
you have learned, and can now give advice to new students in
1102.
 All presentations will take place on our final class day, April 23rd
 The class will vote on the presentation winners, who will earn 5
points extra credit or one additional excused absence.
7. What now?
 Make appointments if you’d
like to discuss your final
projects.
 Work on your presentations,
portfolios, or reflection letters
in class.
