Display the rubric and use it to evaluate the student glossary entry. Students work with a partner to evaluate and calculate final grade.
Students receive questions on tickets they must answer in order to complete the lesson. Students are asked what they liked about the lesson and what they would change.
Here are other projects pursued during the web 2.0 pilot. Students learned about Google SketchUp via online tutorials. Moodle forum questions were used to gauge competency. Students also watched a video and answered forum questions about soldering basics. A next logical step would be to have students Jing a tutorial for other students to lean how to solder, SketchUp, etc..
Show the video last. There are so many different green technology initiatives going on in the world today. Students need to learn about this information to remain competitive in a global job market. Smart energy consumption starts at home. Students need to learn about energy systems in their own home and how best to manage this environment. Study has mostly taken place at the local level. It’s time to start reaching out to other students and start sharing our knowledge with them. Tech Ed needs a blog where students wanting to learn more can connect with and learn from one another.
