Language development in children is a
process that starts early in human life, when
a child begins to acquire language by

Demonstrates understanding of over and under

  when a contrast is presented
Readily follows simple commands even thought -
 the stimulus objects are not in sight
Much repetition of words, phrases, syllables, and -
  even sounds
Children 3 years
Can use many descriptive words- .
Knows common opposites: big-little, hard-soft, heave-- ....

Can count to ten- .
Should have all vowels and the consonants,-
m,p,b,k,g,td,n,g,y
Should be able to repeat sentences as long as nine words -
Should be able to define common objects                       -
( in terms of use hat, shoe, chair
Should be able to follow three commands                       -
    given without interruptions
Should know his age-
Should have simple time concepts: morning, afternoon,-
night, . day, later, after ,Tomorrow, yesterday, today
Should be using fairly long sentences and should use some     -
Children : 6 Years
In addition to the above consonants these   -
.should be mastered: f, v, sh, zh, th
Should have concepts of 7 words-
Speech should be completely                 -
intelligible and socially useful
Should be able to tell one a rather         -
connected story about a picture, seeing
relationships between objects and
happenings
Conclusion
As children age, they continue to learn more
new words every day. By the time they enter
school around the age of five, children
typically have a vocabulary of 10,000 words
.or more
