4. Low Impact Living According to the Energy Savings Trust, 26% of C02 emissions in the UK come from our homes. The government has set a target of all new buildings to be carbon neutral by 2019. We respond to this challenge. Affordable We have chosen an alternative model (Mutual Home Ownership Society) which keeps housing permanently affordable. Community Our design will maximise community interaction. It is based on a Danish co-housing model which balances people’s needs for their own private space with shared facilities.
