4. Searching the catalogue A search for “Charles Dickens” will find items about Charles Dickens as well as by him, but you can Refine Your Search.
5. Searching the catalogue On the left are ways to Refine Your Search . For instance, scroll down the page and click on “Charles Dickens” as Author.

16. Reserving an item When you’ve run a search, click on a title or the “Check Availability” button. (NB. The “Save” buttons DO NOT reserve items. See slides 26-34.)
17. Reserving an item Click the “Reserve” button and you will be asked to log in with your card number and PIN.

19. Reserving an item There is usually a charge of 60p for reservations, payable when you collect the item, although some people are exempt. We will notify you by email, text, voicemail or post when your reservation is ready to collect.
38. My account You can see what you have on order, and cancel a reservation if you no longer need it. When an item’s ready for you to pick up its status changes from “Placed” to “Ready to collect”.
