2. Capturing and editing.
This is a screen grab used to show the editing software. After
capturing our footage we had allot of footage to work with.
Over 150 clips (not all relevant)
3. As editor I had to use different tools and features I haven't used
before.
4. Editing to the beat was essential to this music video. During the
intro of the song I had to keep longer shots to compliment the
speed and feel of the music.
When it drops you can see the shots are shorter and more rapid.
5. Superimposition
To contrast narrative and the performance shots I had to
superimpose the shots to create a reflective feeling, as if the
singer is narrating the night before.
6. For aesthetic reasons I used a colour correction filter to create
more contrast and adding a more visually pleasing
colour, hopefully this is more visually engaging.
7. With more happening in this shot colour wise, the contrast and
saturation is more apparent.
8. Cutting to the beat was allot easier when you can visually see
the sound waves on the audio track (bottom)
When a snare or kick is played it will be visual and cutting on
these beats helped compliment the music with the visuals
through editing.
