• Saves you spending time and money on recurring problems, with many problems being resolved permanently first time

• Evaluate several certification bodies.
• Check if the certification body uses the relevant CASCO standard
• Check if it is accredited. Accreditation is not compulsory, and non-accreditation does not necessarily mean it is not
reputable, but it does provide independent confirmation of competence. To find an accredited certification body.
• Displaying your certificate
Remember, when labelling a product or system as certified to an ISO standard:
2015
Don't say: "ISO certified" or "ISO certification"
DO say: "ISO 9001:2008 certified" or "ISO 9001:2008 certification" (for example).
Can I use the ISO logo?
The ISO logo is a registered trademark and cannot be used by anyone outside of ISO, unless authorised.
If you wish to use a logo to demonstrate certification, contact the certification body that issued the certificate.
2015
ISO Certification is a seal of approval from a 3rd party body that a company runs to one of the internationally recognised ISO
management systems. The certification can be used to tender for business as a proof of a company’s credibility but also to
install confidence in the potential client that you will keep your promises.
ISO NAME AND LOGO
Our short name "ISO"
We, the International Organization for Standardization, own the registered trademarks for our short name "ISO".
ISO®
Our ISO logo
We also own the registered trademarks for the ISO logo.
These trademarks for the ISO logo and short name are registered in over 100 countries. ISO's trademarks are well-known
trademarks..
ISO's brand and reputation: Quality, confidence, and trust
For standards users, customers and consumers, ISO means quality, confidence, trust, safety and many other positive values.
That is why we and our members care about how ISO's trademarks are used and whether unauthorized use of the ISO
trademarks could mislead, create false impressions, or cause confusion.
We and our members (located in many countries worldwide) will take appropriate action if we consider the misuse of ISO's
trademarks puts our reputation at risk.

ISO Certification service
The ISO story began in 1946 when delegates from 25 countries met at the Institute of Civil Engineers in London and decided to
create a new international organization ‘to facilitate the international coordination and unification of industrial standards’. In
February 1947 the new organization, ISO, officially began operations.
Since then,we have published over 19 500 International Standards covering almost all aspects of technology and
manufacturing.
Today we have members from 163 countries and 3 368 technical bodies to take care of standard development. More than 150
people work full time for ISO’s Central Secretariat in Geneva, Switzerland.
It's all in the name
Because 'International Organization for Standardization' would have different acronyms in different languages (IOS in English,
OIN in French for Organisation internationale de normalisation), our founders decided to give it the short form ISO. ISO is
derived from the Greek isos, meaning equal. Whatever the country, whatever the language, we are always ISO

ISO 9001 certification
ISO 9001 is a quality management system that can be integrated into any business. It is focused on ensuring the business
delivers a consistent level of quality to its customers by having well defined and regularly reviewed processes and procedures.
The system fully integrates within the existing business procedures and becomes part of the culture within the organisation.
Eventually a business will not perform a task to conform to the ISO 9001, it will perform the task for the good of the business.
The system covers eight main business principles which are:
 Customer focus
 Leadership
 Involvement of people
 Process approach
 System approach to management
 Continual improvement
 Factual approach to decision making
 Mutually beneficial supplier relationships
Iso certification cost
ISO Certification costs vary dependent on the size of an organisation and the level to which the company is already run with
regards to processes and procedures. If you decide to implement more than one standard at the same time, there are some
preferential fees available. We are a fixed fee organisation, which means once we have met you to discuss your requirements
and sent you a formal quotation, this fee is then set. We will not charge you any extra then what is specified, so that you know
from the outset your costs and the payment method.
Due to our proposals being bespoke and the number of variables that can affect the cost of implementation, we do like to meet
our potential clients so as to get to know them a little better before providing them with costings.

ISO consultants
The ISO 9001 standard is a strategic exercise. It’s designed to effect a cultural change in an organization so that everyone
breathes and thinks quality in every business process. When a consultant fails to understand this basic premise and instead
concentrates on mere compliance to the letter of the law, a marginally compliant system is born. The consultant has an
obligation to understand the standard, the basics of various business processes and the relationship between the two.
A marginal system produces marginal results and loses credibility in the eyes of executives, whose commitment, involvement
and provision of resources ultimately support a successful QMS. Systems that fail to impress executives are delegated to lower
levels of management for maintenance, where they become bureaucratic burdens rather than strategic business tools.
ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
ISO 9001, the world's leading quality management standard, is under revision, with an updated version due by the end of 2015.
Why is ISO 9001 being revised?
All ISO standards are reviewed every five years to establish if a revision is required to keep it current and relevant for the
marketplace. The future ISO 9001:2015 will respond to the latest trends and be compatible with other management systems
such as ISO 14001.
Where are we at in the revision process?
ISO 9001 is about to reach the Final Draft International Stage (FDIS ballot expected by July), the fifth stage of a six stage process,
whereby the ISO subcommittee revising the standard will now go through all the comments received during the DIS vote in
order to produce a final draft which will then be put forward to all ISO members for voting.
What is the next step?
Once all comments have been considered a final draft will be produced and put forward to ISO members for voting.
When will the new version be published?
ISO 9001:2015 is due to be published by the end of 2015.
What will be the main changes to the standard?
The new version will follow a new, higher level structure to make it easier to use in conjunction with other management system
standards, with increased importance given to risk. More information about the changes can be found in the news area.
2015
I am certified to ISO 9001:2008. What does this mean for me?
Organisations are granted a three-year transition period after the revision has been published to migrate their quality
management system to the new edition of the standard.
